What is a Droower?
Droower ia a web application designed for online Flash web sites content editing, small web site creation, and much more. Using Droower it's very easy to manage content on the Flash web site, or to create a whole small web site.
What is a FWindows?
FWindows is a simple Web Operating System created by AWSSOFT.
Under FWindows we are running following applications:
What for I can use Droower?
Main Droower usage is:
- Flash web site content editing.
- Full small web site creation and content editing.
- Adding a editable block to the HTML web site.
Also Droower can be used for:
- Banner creation
- Print a website or artwork.
- Export website page or artwork to PNG or JPG image.
How I can integrate Droower page into existing Flash project?
Using Droower Flash component it's very easy to integrate Droower page into Flash project. Lets do it:
- Place Droower component to the desired position on the Stage (or Movie Clip).
- Open Properties Panel (Parameters tab) and locate RTG URL (this is the field where we will enter URL of a RTG file).
- In the Droower application open Integration.... window File > Integration.... and locate RTG URL. This URL we need to copy and paste into RTG URL field of Droower component.
DRO and RTG file extensions explanation.
- File with extension DRO is a Droower project source file. This file is created each time you use Save or Save as... operations.
- File with extension RTG is a Droower publish file. This file is created each time you use Publish operation.
Publish (RTG) file can be used by Droower flash component or by Droower loader.
If i purchase a Droower do I get a service or I will get software for download?
Droower is not a service, it's a web application and you can install it on your web site server.
It mean, if you purchase Droower you will get access to download Droower package, and instructions how to install it on your web server.
Provide your clients to edit Flash web site content.
One of the biggest problem in Flash web sites development is addressed to content update. We know that is not easy to frequently open Flash project, make changes and upload new files to web server. The bigger problem is to teach clients to do it by yourself.
By using Droower it's very easy to provide your clients to edit Flash web site content.
Create > Preview > Publish
The title of this article "Create> Preview > Publish" illustrate logical workflow in the one web site creation.
Why we think it is a logical workflow?
Each web site need to be Created. As we need to be sure everything is OK on our web site, we need to view it before it's go online. This is a Preview phase . And when all is good, web site can be Published.
With Droower we can perform all tease steps.
How much is Droower.swf and Droower component "Weight"?
Droower.swf and Droower component is about 50Kb.
Create Droower project shortcut on the FWindows desktop.
In the case we need to edit website or a part of a website frequently it's very useful to create desktop shortcut. Like in the any Operating System (Win, Linux, MAC, etc.) we have option for creating desktop shortcut. We can create Doower shortcut directly from menu File > Create desktop shortcut.
Embedded fonts explanation
Each time we say "Embedded font" we mean on font that provide as capability to perform Transform operation on Text Field such as Scale, Rotate and Skew, as well as, adjusting thickness and sharpness of text. All these operations we cannot perform using System fonts.
Second advantage. Embedded Fonts used in document creation "travel" with that document, ensuring that a user sees documents exactly as the designer intended them.
